The maximum size for an in-cabin kennel varies from flight to flight, so you'll have to check with a reservation agent to know whether your dog is allowed in the cabin on your trip. The cost of an in-cabin flight is $75 each way for travel within the US, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
Otherwise, pets can be shipped as checked luggage for $100 each way-except between May 15 and September 15, or if the ground temperature is below 45 degrees (20 degrees if you have a vet's note) or above 85 degrees (70 degrees for snub-nosed dogs). Under those conditions, dogs must be sent as cargo using Delta First Pets cargo service. Depending the distance your pet is being shipped, cargo rates range from $1.80 to $9.53 per pound, each way, with a minimum cost of $153.
Phone: 800-221-1212 or 866-782-2746 (cargo)
