Small dogs can travel with you in the cabin for $80 each way if they fit under the seat (in a kennel no bigger than 22"l x 14"w x 9"h ). The charge for checking a pet as luggage is $100 each way for small- or medium-size kennels and $200 for intermediate- to extra large-size kennels.
Cargo rates range greatly depending on your dog's size and where you're going—call United Cargo for specifics. When the temperature is above 85 degrees at any point on the journey, dogs may not be shipped as cargo. As for snub-nosed breeds, they are not allowed to travel as cargo or as checked luggage between June 1 and September 30.
