| This run and its adjacent community garden sit on land borrowed from the Port Authority and are managed and maintained by the member community. You must have a key to get in. Membership costs $25 a year. In addition, members are expected to volunteer 4 hours of maintenance time per year or to donate an additional $40 per year towards maintenance costs. Perched on a strip below an overpass and above a tunnel, the run is easy to miss, so take note: it's on the north west corner of 39th and 10th. | This once shabby dog run has been upgraded thanks to the efforts of the Friends of DeWitt Clinton dog owners group. In mid-2000, a new fence and a double-gated entrance were installed. Plus, the run now has a water supply, including a small swimming pool in summer. Visit the run's website at www.dogrun.org. |
