| inwood hill dog run
|
|
 |
| location |
| West 207th Street. Near the baseball diamond. |
| comments |
| For both dog and human, this dog run is nowhere near as interesting as Inwood Hill Park itself. The park is huge, with many trails into the hills where, according to one urbanhounder, "dogs can unofficially, and unobtrusively, frolic off-leash (despite the dogs-on-leash signs)." |

| location |
| West 173rd Street, between Fort Washington Ave. and Haven Ave. |

| A small, basic run badly needed in an area that was lacking. The Parks Department maintains this dog run because there's no active group of dog owners here. |

| fort tryon park - sir william's run |
|
 |
| location |
| 190th Street and Ft. Washington. Enter park at Corbin Circle and follow path past New Leaf Cafe. |
| comments |
| The first large lawn dedicated as a 24 hour off leash space for dogs. A lovely hillside spot of more than an acre with terrific views and plenty of open space, fenced in so that dogs can't run off. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables at the nearby cafe. The Fort Tryon Dog Owners Group helps to maintain the run. Their web page can be found at www.ftdog.org. |
