It's a sweet seven-room New England B & B that enthusiastically welcomes dogs. It's in a lovely part of Vermont (near Killington) with plenty of outdoor activities all year round.
250 miles. A four hour drive without traffic.
By car. Take the New York State Thruway North which becomes I-87 N around Albany. After passing through Albany, take exit number 20 off I-87 and follow signs to RT-149/Fort Ann/Whitehall. Stay on RT-149 for 12 miles. Take US-4 for 32.7 miles to exit 6, VT-4A/W. Rutland. Turn left at the end of the exit. Turn left at the light onto VT 4A. After the Price Chopper, turn left onto Clarendon Ave/Route 133. The Paw House is approximately 1 mile on the right.
Their own bed and water bowl in each room, an on-site dog park that's half the size of a football field, agility and training classes, hikes and swimming in near-by state parks. Plus, home-made treats with such names as "Paw Lickin' Chicken" and "Pea-mutt butta snacks."
All kinds of activities that you can do with your dog (hiking, agility classes, chilling). And, thanks to the Inn's on-site dog day care (included in the cost of your room), all kinds of activities that you can do without your dog (fly fishing, hand gliding, tennis, skiing).

Room rates range from $135 to $200. Included is breakfast and doggie day care for up to three dogs.
Dogs must be: at least three months old; fully vaccinated; friendly; disinclined to bark, yelp or howl; picked up after; and kept on leash in all parts of the Inn's property, other than in the dog park or in private guest rooms. Humans must be at least 12 years old. Smoking is forbidden.
